1. Introduction & Scope

ASTORNI is a GPS & IoT integration company providing fleet management, smart building (BACS), smart water, agriculture, environment, security, and smart city solutions. ASTORNI operates across France, Brunei, and Senegal.

This Privacy Policy applies to all ASTORNI digital platforms:

It explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal data and device data across all of the above platforms, and describes your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés), and other applicable national legislation.

By accessing or using any ASTORNI platform or service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

3. Categories of Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide our services. The categories vary depending on which platform or service you use.

3.1 — Account & Identity Data

  • Full name and business name
  • Registered address
  • Email address
  • Username and hashed password
  • Phone number (optional, for SMS alerts)
  • Country and preferred language

3.2 — Billing & Commercial Data (E-commerce & Odoo Shop)

When you purchase products or services through our platforms, we collect:

  • Billing name and address
  • VAT / Tax identification number (B2B invoices)
  • Order history, product references, quantities and amounts
  • Invoice and payment confirmation references
  • Bank transfer references (we do not store card numbers)

3.3 — GPS & Location Data

This is the core data processed by our GPS tracking platforms (astorni.cloud, webgps.dz, winekom.com, and the mobile app):

  • Real-time GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude)
  • Speed, altitude, heading/bearing
  • Timestamps of position fixes
  • Distance travelled and route history
  • Ignition status, engine hours, and mileage
  • Geofence entry/exit events
  • Driver behaviour events (harsh braking, acceleration, cornering where supported)
  • Device IMEI and tracker serial number
Location data is transmitted exclusively by GPS tracking devices (Teltonika and compatible hardware) or by the ASTORNI Mobile App when the user has explicitly granted location permission. We do not access location data in the background without prior consent.

3.4 — IoT & Sensor Data

For Smart Building (BACS), Smart Water, Agriculture, Environment, and Security verticals, we may collect:

  • Temperature, humidity, pressure, luminosity readings
  • Fluid flow rates and tank levels
  • Energy consumption and utility meter data
  • Soil moisture and crop sensor readings
  • Air quality indices and environmental measurements
  • Access control events and CCTV triggers (Smart Security)

IoT sensor data is associated with the asset or installation, not with a specific individual, unless the device is linked to a user account.

3.5 — Mobile Application Data

  • Mobile device type, OS version and unique device identifier
  • App version and crash logs (anonymised for diagnostics)
  • Push notification tokens (for alert delivery)
  • Foreground or background location access (only when permission is granted)

We do not collect your phone contacts, photos, microphone data, or any information stored on your device unrelated to the GPS tracking service.

3.6 — Usage & Technical Data

  • IP addresses and HTTP request logs
  • Browser type, version and referring URL
  • Pages visited, session duration and navigation patterns
  • API call logs and server response codes
  • Error and diagnostic logs (anonymised where possible)

4. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing

We process your data only for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes. The table below summarises our main processing activities and their legal bases under GDPR Article 6.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

We may share data with the following categories of processors who act strictly on our documented instructions:

  • Cloud & Hosting Infrastructure — Servers are hosted on self-hosted Proxmox infrastructure and managed cloud providers located in GDPR-compliant EU facilities or with appropriate transfer safeguards.
  • Payment Processors — Stripe and/or PayPal process card transactions. We do not store card details on ASTORNI systems.
  • Email Service Providers — MailEnable (self-hosted) and Zoho process email metadata to deliver messages.
  • Google — Google Analytics 4 processes anonymised analytics data. Google Search Console processes domain and search performance data.
  • Strategic Partners — ANIAN Sdn Bhd (Brunei) may receive data necessary to fulfil contracts with customers in the Brunei region, under a signed Data Processing Agreement.
  • Legal & Regulatory Authorities — We may disclose data to law enforcement, courts, or regulators when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

7. International Data Transfers

ASTORNI operates across France, Brunei, and Senegal. Data may be processed in these jurisdictions. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure adequate protection through one or more of the following mechanisms:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Adequacy decisions where applicable
  • Binding data processing agreements with our partners

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by applicable law.

9. Security Measures

ASTORNI takes the security of your data seriously. We have implemented the following technical and organisational measures:

  • All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL (minimum TLS 1.2)
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard one-way algorithms — never stored in plaintext
  • GPS servers are protected by firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Self-hosted infrastructure is managed on Proxmox with VM isolation
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorised ASTORNI personnel
  • Security patches are applied on a regular and timely basis
  • SSL/TLS certificates are managed via Let's Encrypt with automated renewal
  • Regular security audits and penetration tests are conducted
  • Administrative access to Odoo and GPS servers is governed by role-based access control (RBAC)
Despite all measures, no internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@astorni.com.

11. Children's Privacy

ASTORNI services are intended exclusively for business use and are not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently received data from a person under 16, please contact us at dpo@astorni.com and we will delete such data without undue delay.

12. Mobile Application — Specific Provisions

The ASTORNI Mobile App (available on iOS and Android) requires certain device permissions to function:

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device Settings. Revoking location permissions will disable real-time tracking but will not affect other app features.

13. GPS Servers — Specific Provisions

13.1 — astorni.cloud

astorni.cloud is the primary ASTORNI business portal hosting the Odoo ERP platform, customer accounts, e-commerce, fleet management dashboards, and invoicing. Data is stored on self-hosted servers within the EU under the ASTORNI Proxmox infrastructure.

13.2 — webgps.dz

webgps.dz is a dedicated GPS tracking web platform. It collects real-time telemetry from Teltonika-compatible devices and supports 200+ device protocols. Users access historical routes, live positions, geofences, and reports. Data processed on webgps.dz is subject to Algerian data protection provisions in addition to GDPR where applicable.

13.3 — winekom.com

winekom.com is a GPS tracking server platform for specific regional deployments. It processes GPS telemetry, device connections, and user account data. It is operated and managed by ASTORNI and is subject to the same security and data handling standards as all other ASTORNI platforms.

14. E-Commerce Shop (Odoo) — Specific Provisions

ASTORNI's online shop at astorni.com (powered by Odoo) allows customers to purchase GPS trackers (Teltonika FMC880, FMC920, FMC150, and others), IoT equipment, and service subscriptions.

  • Orders: Your order details are stored in our Odoo ERP system to fulfil the order, issue invoices, and provide after-sales support.
  • Payment: Card payments are processed by our integrated payment providers (Stripe and/or PayPal). Card data is never stored on ASTORNI servers.
  • Invoices: Invoices include your billing details and our bank account for wire transfers. Invoices are retained for 10 years as required by French accounting regulations.
  • Shipping: Shipping details are shared with our logistics partners solely for the purpose of delivering your order.
  • Account: Creating a shop account is subject to the same data protection rights and procedures as all other ASTORNI accounts.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

ASTORNI may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post the revised version on all our platforms and update the effective date. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Continued use of our platforms after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

2017 — السنغال

ASTORNI السنغال — غرب أفريقيا

نشر تتبع الأسطول في غرب أفريقيا مع نمو سريع بين الشركات المحلية.

2021–2022

تحالف ANIAN — IoT LoRaWAN

شراكة مع ANIAN Sdn Bhd (بروناي). تكامل LoRaWAN وأولى عمليات نشر IoT في آسيان.

2023–2024

توسع IoT ومرسوم BACS

نشر حلول المباني الذكية في فرنسا للامتثال لمرسوم BACS.

2025 — France

ASTORNI فرنسا — المقر الأوروبي

إنشاء الكيان الفرنسي. التنسيق الدولي والتطوير التجاري الأوروبي.

2025 وما بعده

هدف: 25,000 أصل متصل
